David Karp is a Canadian journalist and economics student. He is currently based in Hamilton, Ontario.

David’s past journalism positions include editor-in-chief of the Martlet, reporter with the Vancouver Sun, Western Bureau Chief with Canadian University Press, and columnist with the Victoria Times Colonist. He is a student member of the Canadian Association of Journalists.

David has a B.A. in economics from the University of Victoria. His primary interests are in applied areas such as labour economics, public economics, experimental economics and sports economics.

In his spare time, David enjoys playing soccer, piano, Scrabble and curling, as well as spending time with his girlfriend Laura.
